<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/figure>[vc_column_text]The concerto competition is for members of BYO Symphony<\/strong> who have been members for at least one full season. The competition will be held in January and the winner will perform with the Symphony at the second concert (usually May).<\/p>\n
To enter the competition, a player must obtain and complete, with all appropriate signatures, the Concerto Competition Application Form and fee.\u00a0 These forms will be available after the competition is announced.<\/p>\n
The completed form must be handed to the Administrative Director at least three weeks prior to the competition date. Each contestant must obtain the conductor\u2019s approval of the concerto chosen to ensure that the orchestra is capable of accompanying the soloist.<\/p>\n
The musician, his\/her family, or teacher must confirm in writing the availability of the orchestra parts. Contestants may audition using their sheet music.
